A chemist by trade, Paul worked in this field for the U.S. Government.  After retirement, Paul and his second wife, Petra moved to Holland to be near her family, and Paul's son, Jimmy.  After the untimely death of Jimmy, they moved to Spain and lived in a villa on the Mediteranian Coast .

Ester's father was mayor of their town in Costa Rica .  Ester met Paul while going to night school.  Their marriage ended in divorce.

Jimmy was a nurse by trade and practiced mostly in Holland .  He said it was because they have complete medical coverage and everyone that needed medical attention would receive it.  No one asked for insurance papers or proof of ability to pay.  He passed away of AIDS in Holland .

Lori was a lovely, young lady, not only in looks but in spirit.  She always had a smile.  Her hobby in High School and College was making jewelry.  She made some beautiful pieces.  Lori decided at age 19 to become a little independant from her parents and rented her own little 'pad', which was a guest house behind a home in Montecito, California, just a couple of miles from her parent's home.

 

She was only there a short time, and someone broke into her place one night and murdered her.  That perpetrator was never found, and her murder has remained unsolved. 

 

A beautiful, young life was snuffed out for no apparent reason.
